MLA2 Visual Interpretation

Students explain their ideas in the afternoon pin up

MLA2 were challenged to support the transition from strategy to enabling design tactics through generating a personal and subjective visual interpretation of their chosen location. This provided the opportunity for students to create further visual media, expressing subjective representations of the potentials of their strategy to transform or intensify the conditions in this location.

This workshop was followed by students engaging with an iterative process of interrogating “Where, How, What” in respect of this transition from strategy to tactics. The results of this process expressed through diagramming and free drawing on five metre rolls of paper, captured in an intense morning of endeavour were subject to discussion with staff in the afternoon.
