Headplace: Plants for People Campaign

Headplace has recently launched the 'Plants for People' campaign. The campaign was initially set up in order to rescue  plants that were being disposed of due to the Covid-19 pandemic, in the Yorkshire and Humber area, and distribute the stock to people who couldn't access local green space. This area was quickly expanded due to the numbers of offers we received from across the country

Unfortunately, a lot of our leads have run dry as many growers have now began to offer 'Click + Collect' services or are now supplying the larger DIY stores again. Obviously this is great for the plants as we are happy that many are engaging with plants at this time as we all know the obvious benefits they have with mental health but as previously mentioned this has left us unable to find suppliers willing to donate to the campaign.

If you are reading this and think you can help in anyway please contact Owen Byrom at Headplace info@headplace.org. For more information, visit www.heaplace.org/plants-for-people.
