Students from MLA1 visited the Arnside/Silverdale AONB as part of their contextual studies for Landscape Studies 2A. Traversing a section through time, they examined the geology, topography and other earth sciences from early Carboniferous times to the present day to support an understanding of the present condition of the landscape.

They also visited the studio of artist Tracy Levine. She explained her method of capturing the spirit of the landscape through line and colour as a means of enhancing the physical and subjective experience of her art.
